Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) combines racing, wagering, and regional gaming operations, giving investors several revenue streams to evaluate alongside a substantial financing agenda.

Second-quarter 2026 net income attributable to the company increased to $241 million from $217 million a year earlier. Its Horse Racing business benefited from record Derby Week wagering, providing evidence of operating strength beneath the weaker share price.

Financing became another focal point on September 17, when Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) announced pricing for a $500 million senior secured term loan due in 2033. The loan carried a floating rate of SOFR plus 175 basis points.

Extending financing into 2033 can help manage maturity timing, but a floating-rate structure leaves interest costs exposed to movements in the benchmark. Investors therefore need to assess the borrowing terms alongside earnings and cash flow rather than treating the transaction itself as an automatic improvement.

The 69.39% analyst upside places Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) among the more ambitious recovery cases in this list. Its prospects depend on sustained gaming and wagering performance, disciplined investment, and sufficient cash generation to support debt obligations. Strong event-driven results are encouraging; durable returns require that strength to extend across the broader business.
