October 2 share price $9.25 | Analyst upside 93.27% | Q2 2026 hedge fund holders 19
XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) combines an expanding electric vehicle business with substantial investment in artificial intelligence and robotics. Its second-quarter results show why investors should separate technological ambition from the economics of selling cars.
XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) reported second-quarter revenue of RMB19.74 billion and gross margin of 20.7%, compared with 17.3% a year earlier. Overseas deliveries exceeded 20,000 vehicles, while overseas markets contributed 25% of first-half revenue.
Yet losses widened. Second-quarter net loss reached RMB1.34 billion, compared with RMB480 million in the corresponding period of 2025. Operating loss increased to RMB1.14 billion from RMB930 million. Improving gross margin therefore did not translate into better annual bottom-line performance.
The 93.27% analyst upside makes this one of the strongest anticipated recoveries in the supplied ranking. The business case depends on international growth, improved product economics, and spending that eventually produces commercial returns.
For XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV), the next assessment should focus on whether higher revenue and stronger margins begin to outpace operating expenses. Robotics adds another potential growth avenue, but investors still need evidence that the core automotive business can progress toward sustainable profitability.
