6. Venture Global Inc. (NYSE:VG)
Latest 10-Day Percentage Gains: 21%
Venture Global, Inc. (NYSE: VG) ranks sixth among the energy stocks gaining the most this week after its shares surged 20.68% between February 23 and March 2, supported by strong financial results and expanding global demand for liquefied natural gas.
The company has rapidly emerged as one of the most important LNG exporters in the United States, currently ranking as the country’s second-largest exporter. LNG has become a central pillar of global energy security in recent years, particularly as Europe and other regions seek alternatives to traditional pipeline gas supplies.
Venture Global reported impressive Q4 2025 financial results, with adjusted earnings per share of $0.42 exceeding analyst expectations by $0.06. Adjusted core profit surged 191% year-over-year to reach $2 billion, while net income climbed approximately 23% to $1.07 billion. Much of this growth was driven by increasing LNG shipments from the company’s Plaquemines project located in Louisiana.
Looking ahead to 2026, Venture Global expects to ship between 145 and 156 LNG cargoes from its Calcasieu Pass facility and between 341 and 371 cargoes from the Plaquemines project. These volumes highlight the company’s growing presence in the global LNG trade.
Although management expects adjusted core earnings for 2026 to fall between $5.2 billion and $5.8 billion—slightly below some analyst forecasts due to winter storm disruptions and early-year margin pressures—the company remains focused on aggressive expansion.
Venture Global has set a goal of doubling its LNG export capacity by 2029. The company also announced a new agreement to supply approximately 0.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG to commodity trading giant Trafigura for five years starting in 2026.
The company’s strategic positioning could become even more important as geopolitical tensions disrupt energy supply chains. Recent instability in the Middle East has already affected roughly 20% of global LNG supply, highlighting the importance of alternative exporters capable of stabilizing the market.
For investors watching the global energy landscape, Venture Global represents a powerful example of how LNG exporters are becoming increasingly central to both energy security and international trade.
