5. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)
Intel Corporation recently unveiled its Core Series 2 processor at Embedded World 2026, targeting industrial edge computing environments that require ultra-reliable performance. The new processor series is designed for mission-critical applications such as factory automation, transportation systems, and industrial robotics.
Intel claims the new chip significantly improves deterministic computing performance compared with competing processors. According to the company, the chip delivers dramatically lower PCIe latency and faster multi-thread performance than certain rival processors currently on the market.
During the same event, Intel introduced its Edge AI suite for Health and Life Sciences. The platform includes AI-driven pipelines capable of monitoring heart rhythms, detecting arrhythmias from ECG signals, and analyzing patient movement using computer vision systems.
The healthcare platform also includes remote photoplethysmography tools capable of analyzing blood flow signals using cameras, enabling contactless health monitoring systems. Intel plans to make the platform widely available later in 2026.
