7. Teradyne Inc. (NASDAQ:TER)
Teradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ: TER) ranks seventh because it offers two different routes into the robotics and artificial intelligence boom. Its largest business produces automated testing equipment for semiconductors and electronic devices. Its robotics division, meanwhile, develops collaborative robotic arms and autonomous mobile robots used in manufacturing, warehousing, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial environments.
Through Universal Robots, Teradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ: TER) participates in the growing collaborative robotics market. Cobots are designed to operate more safely beside human employees and are generally easier to program and redeploy than traditional industrial machines. Through Mobile Industrial Robots, the company also provides autonomous mobile robots that transport materials around factories and warehouses. These machines can replace fixed conveyor systems in certain applications, giving businesses greater flexibility when production layouts change.
Teradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ: TER) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.33 billion, including $100 million from robotics. That robotics figure represented a meaningful improvement from the $75 million generated in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Semiconductor testing remained the dominant contributor, producing $1.12 billion in quarterly revenue, but that is not necessarily a weakness: increasingly complex AI processors require rigorous testing before they are installed inside data centers, vehicles, and autonomous machines. The robotics segment remains smaller and has experienced uneven demand in previous periods, yet its latest growth provides evidence that industrial customers are again investing in collaborative robots and autonomous mobile systems.
